What Pole Grip should you pick?
Take the test to see which grip will work best!
Choosing a pole grip can be seriously overwhelming (and not to mention pricey!) until you find the one that suits your body. The truth is — your grip needs can change depending on a bunch of things, like:
-
What type of pole you're using (chrome, brass, stainless, powder-coated?)
-
The weather or season
-
Where you're at in your monthly cycle
-
What you ate or drank the day before
-
Whether you've used moisturiser, fake tan or sunscreen
So... How Do You Pick a Pole Grip?
There’s no one-size-fits-all grip. It’s all about trial and error. Personally, I find that:
-
In Winter and Summer, my skin is dry or clammy, and a hand grip alone is enough.
-
In Autumn and Spring, my skin is a wild mix, so I need a strong hand grip and something for thighs and knees.
What Is Grip Aid?
Pole grips come in many forms: liquids, gels, sprays, lotions, or resin-based formulas.
-
Liquid chalks, drying agents, and antiperspirants = best for sweaty skin
-
Gels, resins, and sprays = best for dry skin
